Just got an email from Wouxun and they have announced a QUAD-BAND mobile radio. The latest addition to the Wouxun family will be a 29/50/144/430 MHz radio with all the usual bells and whistles. I got the wiring done up just like the diagram specified but for some reason it won’t key up the radio on transmit. I can receive and decode the DStar data stream with no issues. I have emailed a few resources and waiting for a reply.

Anytone has decided to rename their radio so that there is no confusion between their single band AT-588 and their dual band AT-588UV. Hopefully people are diligent when buying and getting their radios from a reliable source.
I previously posted that same band simultaneous receive works on this version but I am mistaken. When listening to 2 VHF or UHF frequencies at the same time the main vfo will take over the audio. You can however listen to a UHF / VHF at the same time. Sorry for the confusion.

So I checked the DHL website and here it comes. It arrived in Ottawa today and should be on the truck as we speak speeding to my house to deliver this new and improved version. I’m anxious to try it out.
