Hello – Thanks for your post and information, I did download the UV920R software. The file required WINRAR to unzip. I can open the software but I can not make a radio connection. At one point I could see the COM port in the device list, now it doesn’t show up at all. Also. nothing can be saved, I keep getting an excel error code that I can not copy to look up. All in all, the software lacks a great deal of simplicity. This should be much more user friendly and easier to use. I do have the programming for the KG-UV3D working….anyway if you have any suggestions I would appreciated.

Check out my recent post about errors with the software and see if that resolves your issue.

Otherwise send me a screenshot to va3isp@va3isp.com and i’ll try and help you out.

I am looking for a more RSS type software, like to set Deviation levels and control bandstops(actually, to shrink the TX bands, not to expand), have wouxun released anything like this??

There isn’t anything at the moment that will allow you to do that.

Hopefully once they have all the bugs worked out they will release a more fully featured software package.

Ah…. the “low mic gain” may be one issue I am talking about, I have low deviation on VHF(??I think it was) at 3 khz, while the UHF (??) was 5 khz and OK, I would think this was an alignment or design issue rather than just a menu setting issue

Sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier Andre. I don’t have a pin-out. I have asked for it a few times but it doesn’t seem that they are willing to share that yet. When I get my new version of the radio I’ll take apart the programming cable and see if I can figure it out.

Make sure that your USB cable is properly installed.

Check the device manager on your computer under COM ports and make sure there are no Exclamation marks beside the device.

There are no specific settings on the radio. If the cable is properly detected it should be plug and play.
